Did you know A.A. Milne’s first Winnie-The-Pooh book was published in 1926, and so is now public domain in the United States?  Did you know that means that, legally, you can make any Winnie-The-Pooh merchandise based on that original version, so long as you steer clear of any later, red-shirted derivatives?  Huh!  Weird!  Great info!

and did you also know that teepublic will just take down shirts automatically following ownership claims even if the item description is literally about how it’s now public domain because of how it’s public domain now, and so maybe hiveworks just might have to sell the shirt themselves, also weird
