…and I’m first…due to having to screech that to the world. xD;
Hey, I’m avoiding PreCal homework!
I love Mike’s face in the last panel. He’s just like “…I didn’t get a chance to be an ass!”
Wait. Did Mike push the door on Dina, or did she close it herself? I thought it was the former at first but a second look makes it seem like the latter.
She definitely closed it herself. I had the same first impression you did, but the hand on the door is at the wrong angle. Mike looks disappointed that he didn’t get to slam it on her.
Why is evil measured in kilonazis? Nazis were pretty much one of the worse things ever and kilo suggests that average evil is 1,000 times worse, so if anything the standard measurement of evil should be millinazis.
Kilonazis should be reserved for things like Eldritch Abominations.
Dina reminds me a little of my roommate’s guinea pig, who huddles at the back of the cage every time the cage door is opened. Dina! If you let yourself be known, people might like you and pat you on the head!
It occurs to me that DOA Ethan and Amber are probably largely immune to Mike’s general level of jackass, so he might not bother to be a jackass around just them. That stuff’s no fun if you don’t get a reaction.
Or it could just be that since Willis is the person who created Mike, he’s channeling Mike’s ultimate philosophy “I’m whatever you don’t want me to be” and consistently keeping Mike rather lowkey to continuously kick all of us Mike-worshippers in the metaphorical nuts.
I’m not sure what I find more amusing, Dina’s shyness and pulling the door back in front of her or Mike’s expression in the last panel. Either way I still lol’d.
Yeeah, Mike doing it may have worked better, but he’s apparently a lot more subtle in this ‘verse. Or he just used to be irritated because he has had it with those motherfucking aliens at that motherfucking SEMME.
Did Willis ever see some Haruhi Suzumiya, because the blank expression and the “It’s fine” is totally channeling some Yuki Nagato there.
And maybe Dina is only like this: “No, that’s totally fine that you opened the door at me. See? I’ll open it on myself. Oh, you want some food? Fine, take my seat at this table. I’ll just eat some dog food from here on the floor. No, that’s totally fine. Woof woof.”
Cute Dina is cute. Is that supposed to be a dinosaur hat, or a headcrab? But, is there something wrong with her arm, that is a vey awkward way to try and close a door. My arm cramped just trying to figure the motion out.
I’m wondering if it hadn’t been Dina (whom we all love because she is too adorable for words) who was behind that door and had closed said door on herself but a different or a new character altogether, would we still think it cute/adorable?
OH MY GOD WHY IS SHE SO ADORABLE
…and I’m first…due to having to screech that to the world. xD;
Hey, I’m avoiding PreCal homework!
I love Mike’s face in the last panel. He’s just like “…I didn’t get a chance to be an ass!”
I’m avoiding Canadian Lit homework! And yeah, she’s totally adorable; girls who like dinosaurs usually are, in my opinion <3
The Ruth Gravatar makes that totally worth the Physics homework I’m skipping.
It’s the hat, it adds to the cuteness.
A..Door..Able…… hahaha funny…. I’ma go kill myself now for making that pun.
This is why I love Mike. (This is why everyone loves Mike.)
Mike’s arm isn’t raised. She closed it.
Barely a few words out of her mouth and I already love her.
“what, she liked it there”
This.
I called that back on Friday’s strip. Makes me worry about if she were in a horror flick.
She’s so meek, it’s just on the cusp of adorable overload.
Yeah I’m getting a reading of 1.21 Gigadawws from Dina.
However, Mike’s evilness rating for this comic is so low thus far it can’t even be measured in kilonazis…
Why is evil measured in kilonazis? Nazis were pretty much one of the worse things ever and kilo suggests that average evil is 1,000 times worse, so if anything the standard measurement of evil should be millinazis.
Kilonazis should be reserved for things like Eldritch Abominations.
I dun know I’d say Eldritch Abomination of Hate works well for Mike.
“Gigadawws.” <3 I'll have to remember that.
*takes notes*
Dina just went from my Favourite Walkyverse Character to… wait, there’s no higher position on the list! XD
I half expected Mike to be the one to shut the door on her again…
I think Mike was expecting that, too.
Dina has a long history of deprecating herself before Mike gets a chance.
This made me laugh at work… not that there’s anyone to hear me at work at midnight. =/
Ethan! Do your thing and go after her! Make her get more spot light!!!!
Wouldnt that result in fucking mike with Ethan :O
t-totally not me freshman year… nope… never… *closes door*
Unfortunately, if you’re a guy and you do this, they think you need therapy for some reason. I know this from experience.
It’s ironic that your avatar turned out to be Dina.
Oi, Dina. It’s too late – they’ve already spotted you. ): Maybe you should lie down on the floor and roll away. Sometimes that works for me..
I think Mike is just disappointed that she did that first. And of course, Dina is so cute…
She’s…adorable.
Can I keep her?
Dina fails at being a ninja
Dina reminds me a little of my roommate’s guinea pig, who huddles at the back of the cage every time the cage door is opened. Dina! If you let yourself be known, people might like you and pat you on the head!
That said, this scene was adorable.
love dina and mike in the final panel. also, totally want a dina hat
last day of the sale in the store!!!
http://shortpacked.bigcartel.com/product/dina-s-dino-hat
sadly i have no money in the bank atm, or i would get it. i may wait a week or 2, but i’ll get it at full price i suppose. +/
still a good deal, full price is only like 2 or 3 dollars more than sale price. i bought one! (before the sale started)
Mike’s expressions: Still ruling my heart <3
Little did they know that Dina has a secret liar behind the door…
A secret liar? So it’s *not* really fine? Gasp!
Wow… so I guess this makes Amber the less socially awkward and meek one in the group.
Trippy.
Amber’s not meek. She’s just got better things to do than associate with meatpeople.
Also I just remembered that she’s Spidercar. She’s *really* not meek.
….So does she just live behind that door and Amber has the rest of the room? I’d believe that.
Confirmed: College Student Dina is wayyyyy cuter than Lab Assistant Dina.
^this
Bad Cassidy. That is evil and lazy. At the very least you should use my own “Seconded”
Thirded!
What better way to honor the inventor of the “metaphorical crotch-kick”?
Well after sewing all dem hats just think about how good you are at drawing them now!
I don’t know, I liked the hat better with more smaller teeth.
D’Awwwww.
But also kind of pathetic too really.
Is it just me or Mike seems a bit more … expressive in this world?
As much as I hate to say this since I don’t really like the term Dina is just so Moe I love it and her.
Yeah I’m kind of embarrassed to be an anime fan.
Nothing wrong with being an anime fan. And yes, Dina is Moe.
I think Mike looks annoyed because he didn’t get to close the door on her. XD
Is Dina supposed to be slightly cross-eyed here?
…SLIGHTLY? She’s got the HERP DERP going on in panel two something serious.
Yeah, I think it’s on purpose. It’s kind of adorable.
Dina makes a wonderful woobie
I’m not sure what I find more amusing, Dina’s shyness and pulling the door back in front of her or Mike’s expression in the last panel. Either way I still lol’d.
The only way they’re ever going to get her out from there is with explosives.
What? This isn’t the first time she’s gotten herself stuck behind a door.
I’m sure Mike brought the explosives too, besides the crowbar
you should be ashamed of yourself.
Let me check.
Nope. No shame detected. There’s a reason my business cards include the phrase “relentlessly inapporpriate”.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw.
Alright, Dinobot (Ethan/Dina) shippers, assemble!
Ethan is already out of the closet in this universe.
Anything can happen in fanfiction. ;D
Woof woof.”
…goddamnit. First fanfiction ideas, now drawing ideas. I should stop reading the comments and do my homework.
Then I can stay up to attempt to draw this. Because that would be cute. Horrifyingly sad, but still cute.
And Dina doing it worked so much better – Mike doesn’t even have a CHANCE to be an asshole to her.
Wanna hear something else cool?
Dorothy also has a mole on her chest.
http://www.dumbingofage.com/2010/comic/book-1/02-uphill-from-here/gender/
That is her collarbone.
Alas, Dorothy isn’t Mikuru after all.
I wandered in here from a link on QC, and just read through the archives. Funny stuff! You’ve got a new reader.
You should go read the the It’s Walky! Archives on itswalky.com and the Shortpacked! archives on shortpacked.com

I shall do that! I did get the impression that some of these characters “knew” each other, and there was backstory somewhere. Many thanks!
Dina… I’ll never forget the sacrifice you made in Walky. *sniff*
I think I still have the last picture of her somewhere.
Sometimes I use the image of Mike seeing Dina die as my avatar.
Am I the only one that thought the very last image of her in Walky was reminiscent of Spock in Star Trek II?
“The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one…” ;____;
… she’s really F**king cute… X3
She’s always been my favorite character, and now she is even more so!
Cute Dina is cute. Is that supposed to be a dinosaur hat, or a headcrab? But, is there something wrong with her arm, that is a vey awkward way to try and close a door. My arm cramped just trying to figure the motion out.
I love Dina and her hat <3
I totally asked my mom for a Dina hat for X-mas (linked her to the page and everything)….D: I NEED a Dina hat!
I’m wondering if it hadn’t been Dina (whom we all love because she is too adorable for words) who was behind that door and had closed said door on herself but a different or a new character altogether, would we still think it cute/adorable?
…as long as she had the same expression, probably.
Is she supposed to look cross-eyed? Or does the problem lie with my eyes?
Where can i get that Hat?
only her second appearance and i LOVES her! plus, I wants her hat!
She was actually in like, the second strip. Go back and look. The big bird’s eye view comic in the very beginning shows her green hat and black hair.
looked more like mike was giving a eye/head twitch WTF look to ethan.
Clever girl. . .
SO…what could she do in the Main Walkyverse?
Ethan: So Mike, would you hit that?
Mike: Meh. Maybe if I was really drunk…
OMG Can I hug her and take her home? She’s freaking adorable in only four panels AND shes a nerdy dinosaur girl. <3
She’s even more “me” here than in Walkyverse.
Okay, And I guess her thing is “weirdly awkward”.
