Acting goofy in front of a girl that you like is perfectly normal. To me not normal is having any super powers, talks to himself and answering back to himself, soaking him or herself in butter and proclaiming “I’m a hamster” while running around in his or her underwear, having extra limbs like a third arm or having the ability to spit acid from you’re mouth(unless you’re a certain type of animal or alien) etc.

I find lots of women merely attractive while others are drooling over some “hotness” that I’m not seeing.

Is it just me or did Walky’s eyes get bigger in the last panel?
Nope. They are the same size. His mouth, however, is taking up a great deal more face real estate and thus making his eyes seem bigger.

Am I the only person who feels like Dotty kind of insulted Walky a little bit in panel 2 without realizing it? “Hey, you’re really into this stuff. How does it feel to be a toddler?” It may have been designed for kids, but there are loads of things designed for kids that are, nevertheless, perfectly valid entertainment for adults.
You have a point, but I’d lean heavily on the “without realizing it”. I think she’s talking to herself here, trying to remind/convince herself that the “kid stuff” she misses so much were childish things that she was right to put aside.
That’s completely true, but I guess you learn to let things like that go. I mean, she clearly does like it.
Now that you mention it, that may become one of Dot’s defining traits. She is the girl who wants to grow up and focus on the future. Walky is like an oasis of being able to indulge in her childlish hobbies without having to feel that she should judge herself over them, probably because he is so non-threatening. I wonder when it will take a turn though and have her overcome with a sense of responsibility and try to push Walky to act the way she does.
That’ll happen right before Willis creates another spin off webcomic and abandons this one to work on his new project with promises that it won’t end in a text story where everyone becomes a lesbian.

It’s only really insulting if you have some odd hatred of your childhood and the memories and joys associated with it. Age thirteen, sure “Kid Stuff” is a hell of an insult. By College I think most of us have come to terms with the fact that we still enjoy the pokemon games, the digimon cartoons, Sonic Comics, and the works of Lauren Faust.
Unless you’re expected to get defensive about it, calling such things “Kid Stuff” isn’t insulting at all. It’s just accurate. Especially in a conversation between fans it can be assumed we’re all cool with it.
At the very least I don’t expect Walky of all people to get up in arms over this. Not only was no insult meant, no insult was given or perceived. I’m pretty sure Dot Matrix is in the clear here.
I’m going to have to say no, I did not find it insulting. Why? Look at her expression. She’s not condescending or mean, she’s sad that her kid stuff is gone. Most likely, seeing Walky’s stuff made her regret giving it up, or at least not saving her favourites.
Oh. Oh, wow. We’re starting to get an idea of just how much Dorothy gave up to follow her dream. This:
1) Makes my heart break for her pre-emptively, given that she’s almost certainly not going to Yale, and;
2) Makes me wonder just how willfully blind Danny was to even think that Dorothy might change her mind and go along with his plans instead.
They say that love is blind. I say maybe we should work on that. Seems to cause lot of trouble. They accuse me of being unromantic.
I’m hoping that Danny’s newly-developed spine last week because it realized Walky was going to be needing one, and is just now arriving on the scene.
