I have a similar issue with one of my best friends. For some reason, we always have the exact same YouTube recommendations, so when one of us sends the other something, 9 times outta 10, it’s either “seen it” or “oh hey this has been in my recommended for a while”.
It’s almost never annoying though, we always have a great laugh about it.
It’s totes the bookmark! Which is kind of funny, because the strip’s all “You seen this?” and I’m like “Yes. Yes, I have seen this. It’s on the bookmark.”
That scene in Christmas Vacation where Rusty walks up to try to talk to Clark, gets a chainsaw revved at him, and just says “Good talk, dad” and retreats.
Meanwhile Dina (and Vanessa from Something*Positive) are in a heated forum among other paleontologists about whether T.Rex is in fact three different species (T.Rex, T.Regina and T.Imperator)…
I’m hoping for a fourth species with similarities to T. Regina and T. Imperator, because my problem with those names is they don’t have X’s and the X makes it cool. So I want there to be a Tyranosaurus Imperatrix.
Has it really been much of a debate? Most of what I’ve seen has just been folks acknowledging that multiple Tyrannosaurus species could exist, and it’s worth researching, but Paul’s research specifically is bull. If you say presence (or absence) of specific incisors are key to identifying species, but you can’t identify multiple perfectly preserved skulls, that’s a problem. If you say hip density and time period are key to differentiating the species, but they all overlap and blend together so much you can’t really separate them, that’s a problem.
its time to leave Tweet and join another comunity, like a only-subscriber Discord from some streamer. It’s suprising how you can get fresh content or memes there.
I tried Twitter for five minutes, tops, but then I realized I didn’t want to shout into the void hoping someone else would like what I posted. Real life people are far less likely to list off your flaws than Twitter people.
A few years ago, I apparently got assigned to follow a new user (some weird thing Tumblr was trying out) and had no idea who they were or how I’d ended up following them. But I decided they were interesting enough for a high school kid, so I didn’t unfollow.
Every so often, they Discover A Meme. Then I get several dozen posts of Horse Plinko or Slug Reaction or whatever over the course of a couple of days, making me wonder if the meme is new or just something they found this week.
It’s actually kinda cute that in a reversal from their childhood (and early semester), Amber is now the more proactive one in keeping up their friendship.
My wife will send me things on TikTok and half the time I’ve already seen it. All you hear with us is:
Me “Yeah, I saw that yesterday. Good right?”
Her from the other room “YOU SUCK”
sorry but willis is a master for doing such a subtle difference in ethan’s face in panels 2 and 4. I can’t even point it out but it’s a completely different expression????
i was literally about to say the same thing about amber in 1 and 3! Although its a little less subtle there, i love how her pose from panel 1 is slightly exaggerated to match her line. rly makes u appreciate how willis redrawing all these panels rly gives everything more life
i just looked very closely and it seems like there’s mostly different shadows on ethan’s eye that differentiate between whether his brow is furrowed or relaxed/raised under his hair.
Optimus Prime broke down and cried on the set of "Transformers" (2007) due to the extensive use of green screen filming. He reportedly said, "This is not why I became an actor."
“I’m just going to say it, shame on any of us who throws a trans child under the bus for thinking they’re going to get elected. That child deserves our support. Don’t worry about the pollsters calling it distractions, because we need to be the party of human dignity.”
Minnesota Star Tribune@startribune.com ⋅ 1d
Gov. Tim Walz is doubling down on trans rights — and criticizing members of his party who are retreating — at a time when the issue has become a political lightning rod nationally and back home in Minnesota.
they managed to get the arms and thighs to be different grays, which I wasn't sure they'd be able to do, the way the mold's set up
though maybe they're just producing a lot of extra thighs and/or arms in the wrong colors and throwing those away, i dunno
tbf he prolly spends more online time online than speedrunning
I had the same problem with my ex, i would want to share funny stuff but she was always on top of things when it came to memes.
For me and my wife, this happens with Youtube videos.
“Hey, let’s watch this.”
“Seen it.”
My wife and I do different stuff online. We don’t see the same videos and get to share the funny ones with each other
Sounds great, always nice to have different stories to share.

It’s nice that he’s smiling just a little in the last panel.
Oh hey I noticed that too!
I don’t really see it?
Now that they mention it, he does look about 5% less miserable in the last panel.
Keep it up, Ambs! With effort Ethan may graduate from Despair to mere Despondency!
Ethan’s mouth is a little wider in panel 4 compared to panel 2. It’s not a full smile, but it’s definitely less of a frown.
It’s not really there. A closed-mouth smile needs an upcurve on the end(s).
Oh hey, it’s the bookmark strip! (I think, anyway, I don’t have it on me to check.)
Ethan looks like he’s almost smiling, or at least about to smile, in that last panel.
Yup! This is the one.
It’s totes the bookmark! Which is kind of funny, because the strip’s all “You seen this?” and I’m like “Yes. Yes, I have seen this. It’s on the bookmark.”
I came in and thought it was the same comic as yesterday until I saw the comment counter
good talk
That scene in Christmas Vacation where Rusty walks up to try to talk to Clark, gets a chainsaw revved at him, and just says “Good talk, dad” and retreats.
Same energy.
Meanwhile Dina (and Vanessa from Something*Positive) are in a heated forum among other paleontologists about whether T.Rex is in fact three different species (T.Rex, T.Regina and T.Imperator)…
Funny you should mention that!
I’m actually doing some dinosaur research myself for an upcoming project! 🤩 🦕🦖
I really hope that actually pans out. I just like the idea of ‘Tyrannosaurus imperator‘.
I’m hoping for a fourth species with similarities to T. Regina and T. Imperator, because my problem with those names is they don’t have X’s and the X makes it cool. So I want there to be a Tyranosaurus Imperatrix.

Slight correction to above: the research in question talks about Tyrannosaur femurs, not hips. My bad.
Don’t forget Nanotyranosaurus.
aww they’re still friends
Maybe Maggie’s been tapping into your mind lately, Willis, that’s why she’s one step ahead a’ ya.
How do you do that thing with the text, out of curiosity?
Would you ask David Blaine or Penn and Teller how they did it? A good wizard never reveals their secrets. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-haaaa….!
Penn would casually explain the trick, while Teller demonstrates all the sleight of hand in plain view.
Then they blow your mind by sneaking a completely different trick in at the end of the demonstration.
Amber is cute here, dig the hair
Yeah! I think shoulder-length suits her better than the short bob she started the comic with.
The moment of genuine happiness and comfort helps, too. She currently doesn’t have to worry about anything but showing her friend Internet stuff.
Well the universe should’ve thought of that before giving you an alternative outlet in roller derby, now shouldn’t it?

You did the right thing.
I’m addicted to Twitter, but I got more contact in small communities, like Mastodom.
Another community, like maybe a webcomic comment section.

I guess she also doesn’t like being the more social of the two of them but I guess she’s going to haft to deal.
You can be less online and simply on another part of the internet :<
Had this sent to me by a friend today …
My Dream
I see the tiniest of smirks
The antisocial smile
I’m debating if this is playful or just frustration.
Wait, wait, wait! There’s a beginning of smiles on Ethan’s face in the last panel or I’m seeing what I want to see???
Either the slightest hint of a smile, or a horrified realization that he’s more online than *Amber* of all people.
“Yup……someone sure cut a hole through that fence alright….”
… Stan Freberg, 1957.
I’m online a lot and even I’m not always up-to-date on the newest memes.
Don’t worry, Amber, this only means that he’s as online as you are! The balance of the universe hasn’t shifted yet!
My wife will send me things on TikTok and half the time I’ve already seen it. All you hear with us is:
