I broke my left humerus in a fall about a month and a half ago, and I didn’t think it was all that funny.
And now that Clif mentions them, I also fractured the left femur as well, seriously enough that it required surgery to implant a rod and a half dozen screws to rebuild everything.
Two rods? Because yu need two needles to knit. Otherwise it’s just crocheting your bones together…

I mean, Sarah is Joyce’s roommate and also went with her to get copies of the first published strip. It’s a good chance she’s got at least passing awareness of the catchphrase. Particularly if Joyce has touted it to her with typical Joycian enthusiasm.
Yes but this is a semester removed before she and Walky vied for the cartoon page, so she probably hasn’t been exposed to the graphic adventures yet.
Her works of literature have been underway for a bit, though.

I have a feeling Joyce infodumped the entire lore on her.

Headcanon that Joyce constantly does this and it used to annoy Sarah, but then she got to a point where she began to understand the lore and is now invested.
I suspect Joyce explains the lore of Julia Grey to any of her friends who will listen.
Sal needs to put her own spin on the character. Change up the catch phrase or make up a new one. Something Joyce can then adopt into the comic.
