This preview is actually the most disappointed I ever been. It has made me extremely unhappy and I’m glad I will never see past this one panel so I have even a shred of plausible deniability that Leslie is not still dating Anna the dentist.
Why? Anna seems OK. Bossy, maybe. But perfectly cromulent as partners go. To my view, anyway. (I actually like ALL the cast members, so I’m biased.)
OK, I kinda get it now. Just re-read Anna’s tagged strips. She’s pretty rude and is mean to Anna. But I am glad she makes Leslie happy, all the same. I’ve dated folks who were habitually insulting all the time – it can come to feel like an endearing quirk, after a while.

Anna is only ever rude and mean. If there was even one moment of her showing anything else I would have a different opinion of her and Leslie has also admitted she has horrible taste in lovers. So I really have no reason to believe anything past what Anna has been presented as. I guess it’s just kind of a joke that Leslie likes being criticized. It’s not that funny to me, but humor is subjective.
