Now I know some of you are saying “But wait, Amazi-Girl and Ruth have been seen in the same room together!” I know. That’s how fucking good she is at what she does.
But if the truth is that he’s not a prince, then Genie never granted his wish in the first place.
That must be why he has so many extras left over for Jafar.
Jafar got to say “I wish for…” three times. The Genie also seemed to obey him in general. Oh, and Jafar actually made four wishes; the Genie wasn’t able to grant one of them (Princess Jasmine falling in love with him), but Jafar thought he did, so…
The Genie wasn’t willing to save Aladdin’s life, even though he liked him, without an explicit wish. Because he could only do something for him three times–but not for Jafar.
Well none of them really associate with Amber. It’s like in the Cinema Snob Movie. Craig got away with his disguise because the people he was trying to fool barely knew him in the first place.
Mike and Ethan would probably realise who she was instantly.
I was going to ask if you had never just liked someone without having a solid rational reason for doing so, and then I realized something. There’s a…leveling effect in most comic strips in that most every character is averagely attractive – it takes something of an effort for the artist to draw a character in an unattractive manner. This works the other way, of course; I think that Danny may be physically attractive, mayhap in a slightly bishi way, making women with forceful personalities want to protect him – or somesuch psychobabble.
This is probably what initially got her attention, and the fact that he didn’t sleep with Billie because of her probably helped a lot.
But this whole Amazi-Girl thing will continue to sour the relationship until she reveals herself. And when she does, hopefully he believes her and doesn’t do the “hilarious” thing and laugh it off.
Or…he already knows, and is just kind of teasing her? Or trying to make her confront herself?
Is he some sort of idiot? Heck, even I saw through the costume before she reviled to the audience, the only way she’s keeping up the shtick is because she isn’t well known.
Sigh I just hope it does not turn into one of those amber taking off glases infront of everyone and no one knows what happen to amber when amazing girl apears
Here’s an idea I haven’t seen brought up before–what if Danny KNOWS Amber is A.G.?
He could have figured it out and thought if Amber was compelled to be Amazi-Girl then he might get to know her better as AG vs. Amber.
Then he’d reveal he knew her secret identity but wanted it to be her choice to tell him since that would be when Amber felt the most confident in their relationship.
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT
AFTER ALL, AMAZI-GIRL DOESN’T WEAR GLASSES
It’s the Clark Kent effect!
Because they’re the same person after all!
But Amber looks nothing like Sal…
Maybe if she took off her glasses?
“But then she wouldn’t be able to see!” Clearly she can’t be Amazi… I mean Sal.
shit happens
Tell me it isn’t true!
Danny’s silliness knows no bounds.
Say, where’s Amazi-girl when you need her?
Ruth’s probably in her room drinking.
Now I know some of you are saying “But wait, Amazi-Girl and Ruth have been seen in the same room together!” I know. That’s how fucking good she is at what she does.
I’m the best at what I do. And what I do is get so drunk that you are seeing double.
So what you do is VERY nice then.
Actually, Amazi-Girl was carrying Billie away from Ruth in a comic not too long back… so, obviously, Amazi-Girl must have been using a twin.
Yay! The blush is cute. She better confess or I’m going to be upset.
Confess? To what?
To wishing that senpai would notice her.
Surprised she didn’t face palm.
I feel like Danny’s thick enough that we’ll get another full comic of him not quite getting it. I expect the facepalm tomorrow.
Danny Danny Danny….this is why you’re essentially bottom of the favourite character pole.
Three more votes and Joe will beat him.
It’s a totem poll.
I’d make a Visionaries joke here but no one would probably get it.
Man, nobody in real life actually facepalms that frequently.
Except Jean Luc Picard. He’s totally real.
IS IT TIME FOR BIG SECRET IDENTITY REVEAL?!?!
Clark Kenting it at its finest
You can’t be Amazigirl. She doesn’t wear glasses. And noone who wars glasses can just…take them off. That’d be nuts!
Too fine methinks. Or Danny’s family name is actually Lane.
Dumbass alert!
HEY!! My face is up here!
As Genie would say, Tell HIM the TRUUUTH!!!
also if you could wish me out of this Lamp that’d be swell, kid
Man, I should rewatch that movie sometime.
But if the truth is that he’s not a prince, then Genie never granted his wish in the first place.
That must be why he has so many extras left over for Jafar.
…This may be off-topic.
and wrong: New master, new set of wishes. Old master still has his left over.
You know, that has ALWAYS bothered me. Dressing up as a prince =/= becoming a prince.
YOU HAVE FAILED AT YOUR PURPOSE, GENIE OF THE LAMP!
Prince Danny, clueless is he, Danny Wilcox
Thick as ten regular men, definitely!
Just try not to face-palm
He’s just so easy to con!
I’m getting a high Idiot rating from Danny.
So far zero people have seen Amazigril and recognized her as Amber. They’re all morons.
Or Amazigirl’s disguise is just so great that it cannot truly be captured on paper…or, er, pixels.
Well none of them really associate with Amber. It’s like in the Cinema Snob Movie. Craig got away with his disguise because the people he was trying to fool barely knew him in the first place.
Mike and Ethan would probably realise who she was instantly.
That’s because Amber _isn’t_ Amazi-Girl.
I mean, what are you, blind? Or just stupid?
She’s totally actually Walky in an genius-level crossplay outfit.
To be fair, no one else has managed to figure it out either. Hell, Billie thinks Sal is Amazi-Girl.
Sal can’t be amazigirl. I’ve never seen amazigirl hop out of a window.
Clearly, you’re forgetting this.
Exactly.
There are low entry standards for this college.
As a former student, I generally concur.
As maybe a prospective student, I really hope so given my past performance.
I like the nice flipbook of panels 2 and 4.
Honest mistake Danny.
The lighting in panel 3 causes Danny to look Quite Feminine…hmm…
Oh my, DANNY IS AMAZ- wait no, that’s stupid.
So stupid it’s BRILLIANT! How do you ensure your enemies will never discover your secret identity? CROSSDRESS!!
And DATE YOURSELF!!
Geez Danny it’s like I want to punch you every ten seconds.
That’s yer cue, Mike.
No kidding.
That line needs to find its way into the Mario franchise.
Bowser: “Geez Mario, it’s like I want to punch you every ten seconds!”
The big twist coming up in Friday’s installment is as Amber is trying to reveal her secret Amazi-Girl.shows up…and it’s Amber too!!
Calling it now.
Oh god yes, that’s perfect.
Every Amber shows up. It’s like that one star trek or something.
Danny, do I have to introduce you to my good friend, the Clue Sword?
Upgraded from the Clue Bat and the LART, eh?
I really like commenting here. I think it has something to do with Dina and dinosaurs. As opposed to my SP! avatar of Cyclops getting shit on…
…his FAAAAAAAAAAAACE?
Danny, you’re gonna want to sit down for this one. Oh, you already are, that’s perfect.
You’re not sitting as hard as you could be. I would like you to be imbedded in that wall. It’s for your own safety.
Maybe something that he can’t easily fall off of. That ledge is pretty precarious.
It’s less that the ledge is precarious but that Danny is sitting on the ledge precariously.
I’ll just go give myself a wedgie, shall I?
Dammit, Willis, if Amazigirl shows up now I’m going to have to reread the entire comic from my new perspective.
Guys, guys, new theory:
Amazi-Girl is Faz!
Kind of hoping Faz does show up in this comic. Maybe as faculty?
tell him.
tell. him.
TELL HIM!!
Tell him the TRUUUUUUTH!
Anybody else smell a friday cliffhanger?
That userpic always reminds me of this mediaeval woodcut:
http://www.columbia.edu/itc/mealac/pritchett/00generallinks/munster/india/page1080monsters.jpg
Danny you doofus.
What does she see in him?
…No, really, what?
Feeling smart all the time is pretty great.
I considered that too, but she seems more frustrated by him than anything.
Well, from what I can tell, he’s a fellow nerd that doesn’t creep her out…
…That’s all I can think of.
Also: he’s not gay and he has previously expressed attraction to her. And he’s not fictional.
An enigma, wrapped in a puzzle, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a jumper?
Stability?
Y-chromosomes and a pulse?
I was going to ask if you had never just liked someone without having a solid rational reason for doing so, and then I realized something. There’s a…leveling effect in most comic strips in that most every character is averagely attractive – it takes something of an effort for the artist to draw a character in an unattractive manner. This works the other way, of course; I think that Danny may be physically attractive, mayhap in a slightly bishi way, making women with forceful personalities want to protect him – or somesuch psychobabble.
So…she’s attracted to his looks, maybe?
This is probably what initially got her attention, and the fact that he didn’t sleep with Billie because of her probably helped a lot.
But this whole Amazi-Girl thing will continue to sour the relationship until she reveals herself. And when she does, hopefully he believes her and doesn’t do the “hilarious” thing and laugh it off.
Or…he already knows, and is just kind of teasing her? Or trying to make her confront herself?
Danny, don’t be a douche.
Billie, don’t be a hero.
Danny has great luck with relationships on that ledge.
So the first coming out in DOA actually won’t be someone being gay? How’s that for a plot twist!
oh, dont y’all know already? Danny is Amazi-Girl!!! Just like in Fight Club LoLz
Amber is not amused.
Is he some sort of idiot? Heck, even I saw through the costume before she reviled to the audience, the only way she’s keeping up the shtick is because she isn’t well known.
Why isn’t Dina lurking in the bushes… “I wanted to see what was complicated.”
Oh, I forgot about the Amazi-Girl storyline.
Sigh I just hope it does not turn into one of those amber taking off glases infront of everyone and no one knows what happen to amber when amazing girl apears
Skipping to the bottom just to say, “Even the superheroine can’t believe someone who knows her in both identities hasn’t figured it out yet.”
Someone needs a beating with a clue by four.
That pun is so horrible it’s wonderful!!
You win the internet for today.
Jusf a theory.
or hes’s doing it so he doesn’t get reminded of his ex all the time.
Giving Danny too much credit.
