I remember the first time I read this strip, I thought that the old woman in the last panel was Becky, and she had to carry so many bags of Joyce’s stuffed animals that she became an old woman, but now I’m rereading it and I feel stupid.
My previous (male) roommate left two giant bags of stuffed animals when he left our apartment. I found them 4 months later when I was moving out and had no idea what to do with them so I just left them there.
Just re-read through what’s available of It’s Walky! for the first time in ten years and I’ve just started this… I must say, just as I clicked to go to the next comic, I noticed Mike and had to back track. Seeing all the characters acting natural in a new environment put quite a smile on my face.
Can’t wait to keep reading and see where this strip goes.
hey, kid, what do you want to play with from the cool superhero movie? is it a nude, melting senator who feels like a stretch armstrong doll that has been left out in the son and maybe mildly chewed by a neighborhood dog? WELL, SON, YOU'RE IN LUCK!
Joyce is absolutely totally straight and just wants to hang out with her best friend, who happens to be another lady. This is normal behavior and a normal biblical quote to use that has no other context.
GAL PALS
OK, I said I was going to a thread of receipts together on the guy who runs Kapow, in odder to explain why I personally would recommend not giving him your business at TFN.
Starting with the original post, revealing the guy loves sharing right wing fascist stuff on LinkedIn.
Alex Maw@xjmaw.bsky.social ⋅ 6m
Since you might think it's weird you got a like on this over a year after the fact, the director of Kapow just shared this on LinkedIn; i.imgur.com/hqQYWgO.png
so i got photos of the makeship dina plushie proto
and honestly it looks 100% perfect
except
sidebar
the hood can pull off the head, like a real hoodie
which is something i didn't even consider
should i leave that as an option, or tell them to sew the hood to the top of the head
I said something about the nice art/angle/colours before, so I’ll say it again.
Nice art/angle/colours. It just works.
Mike, Walky, Joyce, Billy….and is that Dina I see talking to her parents? Or some other girl with a hat?
It’s Dina Sarazu. Wiigii!
I just noticed, but, she’s obviously taking the hat-wearing genes from her parents
Or maybe the HAT genes from her parents.
http://itswalky.com/d/20030415.html
She takes if off as the last thing she does before she dies.
OMG Dina and Mike!!! *is ecstatic* My two faves, in the same comic, and neither is dead yet!
Yet…
This might get confusing
I’ve carried giant bags of stuffed animals to multiple apartments, and they are not that heavy. Mrs. Brown, you are a weakling.
You obviously don’t own enough bags of stuffed animals.
How can Mike be everywhere?!?
Is their a Mike’s Theorum such as for Dibbler in Discworld?
I think I see Amber in line as well.
Is this…Read Dorm at IU?!?!
Ohmygosh. I just started reading this and I am STOKED to know the setting of this strip. Hoosierrrrrs!
And to think that I only own one plushie.
Johnny bravo, lefthand corner first panel, sitting on a couch.
Do the monkey with meh!
Wow… before you said that, I had not noticed how much a black-shirt-wearing Mike looks like a pre-muscles JB.
or Johnny Quest…
I remember the first time I read this strip, I thought that the old woman in the last panel was Becky, and she had to carry so many bags of Joyce’s stuffed animals that she became an old woman, but now I’m rereading it and I feel stupid.
To be honest, Joyce’s mom looks like she’s about to keel over. Like, GEEZ she looks old…
She will be wanting grandbabies before she dies.
She’s carried a LOT of stuffed animals.
So… is the redheaded dude in the top left corner Howard? Because I spy some Spock ears…
Those are the elbows of the girl in front of that person. It’s not Howard.
anyone notice that Linda Walkerton is there? guess she was a good mom in this case, lol
And yet, even if only because of the angle, Sal still isn’t included in this family get-together ;P
Wait, why is Walky in the room talking to his parents when Billie is still standing at the head of the line? Walky was behind her.
I was about to ask the same thing.
My previous (male) roommate left two giant bags of stuffed animals when he left our apartment. I found them 4 months later when I was moving out and had no idea what to do with them so I just left them there.
Confession. When I first saw this one, the only other character I saw was Mike, and I thought he was Johnny Bravo.
Just re-read through what’s available of It’s Walky! for the first time in ten years and I’ve just started this… I must say, just as I clicked to go to the next comic, I noticed Mike and had to back track. Seeing all the characters acting natural in a new environment put quite a smile on my face.

I bid the possibility of sleep farewell.
Oh god, Mike’s already here.
