The Joyce/Danny? In Roomies! nobody set them up together. I think Joyce should give Danny a “are you religious enough for me?” test before she gets all excited, or if she doesn’t, she spends as much time trying to convert him as to woo him.
I had a coworker try to convert me once, it was a pain in the butt. Keep in mind that I ID-ed as a fairly conservative Catholic at the time, but it wasn’t good enough or something.
“Honey cook me dinner”
“Awww Charles I want to go out inste-”
“Honey cook me dinner”
“Surething Charles want steak or chicken?”
I’m seeing some major super power abuse here :O
I think he has the ‘i really want to talk to that person after class but they are already in a conversation with someone else so im just going to awkwardly follow them until i get a chance look”
Either that, or hes pretending to walk with Joyce so he can get a good gawk in
….Oh yeah! I’d somehow forgotten about that! It would be awesome for them to get together in this universe, I like the variation on story! It’s like Tenchi Muyo, except not shitty.
So rather than let Danny learn from this and grow as a person, they’re going to throw what they hope to be a quick-fix band-aid on the problem so they don’t have to deal with him.
I’m now wondering if relationships are going to go in a rough heavily edited version of the same order as original material. Danny being obsessed over by Joyce a bit first and much later being with walky.
Plot twists!
More like plot recycling. Though this sounds like it could be interesting.
Wanna bet that she’ll be all, “Why’d I want to date that dork? ” in the next strip?
Now that’s a plot twist.
Plot recycling twist!
Pretty much.

“Kelly” is the correct last name to fill in there. Awwwww yeah.
She already knows she’s marrying Professor X. Huh.
Win.
Clever!~ He seems like a good Christian boy (that can read your mind, but whatevs)
That can also make you do what ever he wants…

D8 Fff—- and yet, deep down, I saw this coming =_=;;
I hopes hes obsessed with Amazi-girl!
Eh, maybe we just need to find him some other FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Gru – “Lightbulb”
You already did that. Just hook Danny up with Amber and be done with it.
This!
Well, didn’t see THAT coming! And yet…I shoulda.
By the way, is Walky still gawking at Dorothy, or freaked out by Joyce?
Still gawking, I believe
I think he has the ‘i really want to talk to that person after class but they are already in a conversation with someone else so im just going to awkwardly follow them until i get a chance look”
Either that, or hes pretending to walk with Joyce so he can get a good gawk in
Haha, the “trying to get a chance to talk to someone but they’re talking to someone” scenario is pretty scarily real~
Perhaps he is frowning that she is talking to another boy? No, probably just dumbstruck still. Poor boy.
His face is stuck. His mom had warned him that this is what’s going to happen.
What, are these kids still in high school, all travelin’ in packs like that?
They just got out of there. Give them a week or so to catch on.
The best thing for Danny is to let him detox (voluntarily or by force if necessary).
….Oh yeah! I’d somehow forgotten about that! It would be awesome for them to get together in this universe, I like the variation on story! It’s like Tenchi Muyo, except not shitty.
I… Yeah, I’m just going to interpret that as the spin-off versions of Tenchi Muyo being shitty, which is true.
Aww, its meant to be. Although I’m a tad disappointed that Roz has left the group already.
How to write fiction: a primer
Take situation A.
Decide what can’t possibly happen in situation A (within the laws of the world)
Make that thing happen
Willis is apparently aware of this rule.
Rule 2 is to plant epileptic forests. Harvest as needed, need enough standing to make people confused. Re-plant as necessary.
I didn’t think this would happen, it fits none of my pre-determined ships, and yet…it makes me so happy.
I just noticed, Joe is majorly tall! Seriosuly, look at him compared to Joyce and Blonde-Amber, he’s huge!
Nah, He’s probably 6’1 ish and they’re more 5’5. And that may be overstating it
No Danny, go away from the light!
Pst! Joyce! Don’t forget Dr. and Mrs. X!
And Mr. and Dr. X.
Though, she may’ve ruled that out, as she doesn’t care about college much.
Considering she’s there for “elementary education”, I think being a doctor of anything is not something she’s interested in.
The only thing missing here is a DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN…
No, Joe, don’t! Nobody deserves that kind of punishment. I suppose it was inevitable, though.
Either Dorothy’s eyeball has traveled off of her face, or her glasses have a *serious* refraction/magnification/distortion effect.
Or she’s a freakish bug-eyed alien.
My brain is seeing answer 3.
Nah- the poor girl was the victim of an insane attempt to make a meganekko-moe via plastic surgery.
Tragic really…
We did everything we could to try and stop it… but we were too late :'( She had already attempted the surgery. A sad day for all involved.
Hm, I wonder what this foreshadows?
So rather than let Danny learn from this and grow as a person, they’re going to throw what they hope to be a quick-fix band-aid on the problem so they don’t have to deal with him.
Oh yeah, this won’t end it tears, huh?
I bet they set Danny up with Ethan
:p
But Ethan’s not a romantically codependent…
Walky’s lips are bleeding all over the inside of his mouth.
Do not do it, Willis, do not hook up Danny with Joyce. That level of co-dependency would cause the strip to implode.
Interesting…Maggie can’t be liking this latest development Willis!
Really; then again, it might even be her idea.
I know they are in a crowd after class, but I love how that blond girl is creepin’.
This will end well, I’m sure.
i cant imagine what they could possibly be thinking of doing (sarcasm)
I’m now wondering if relationships are going to go in a rough heavily edited version of the same order as original material. Danny being obsessed over by Joyce a bit first and much later being with walky.
What is Hannelore doing in this strip?
Where? If I’d put in a cameo, I think it’d be fairly obvious.
Unless Hannelore is secretly a ninja, I don’t think she IS in this strip.
Practicing variations on married name signatures before you’ve even selected a fiance? WOW!
That’s the Power of Joyce!
Joe and Dorothy’s expressions in the last panel make me giggle
Ho yeah! My original ship may finally come true!
Dorothy and Joyce get along far too well.
…maybe they’ll take over the world. XD
I meant Joe. not Joyce.
Willis is making this too easy.
Well that was easy
Joyce, Professor X’s surname is Xavier.
So in this universe they’re going to enable her stalking tendancies for Danny. That’s… No.
