Yeah, both of them have fairly generic sounds, but I honestly don’t think Coldplay is bad. It’s just very same-ish. Most of their songs aren’t super deep lyrically and their vocal dynamics as singers are fairly basic. They aren’t daring or unconventional. It’s something I’d listen to if someone had it on, but I wouldn’t play it obsessively like some other songs.

Can’t speak for the music, but I love black licorice. Always have, since I was a kid. My favorite jelly beans were always the black licorice-flavored ones. I really don’t get why people don’t like it. Also, your statement makes me even more confused about how some people react to it, since “tastes kind of generic” is even further from what it tastes like to me than “tastes awful” is. It’s got such a strong, unusual flavor.
I like Coldplay as in… They have some certified bangers (if “The Scientist” can’t be applied to a ship then it’s not an OTP). But it’s true there’s like, two of those per album, max, and the rest of it sounds a lot like those two songs.

Is it possible that Asher was *ordered* to do that to teach the Walkertons ‘A Lesson’ for something? That it was a setup, yeah, but that it wasn’t *just* to get away more easily for their own smash and grab?
I doubt it. A convenience store holdup seems too amateur to have been professionally coordinated. I think Asher was acting alone, without “the family”‘s involvement.
