    Just out of curiosity, Willis, I wonder what would happen if you sent a ‘violation of copyright’ letter to Trump for using the term “Space Force” without paying permission or payment of royalties…   You’ve definitely got proof – in print – that you created it and were using it long before he threw it out there.

        I mean he definitely does in fact care about the lawsuits his administration is facing! So more of them is good. Accepting the premise that the law doesn’t apply to him is unhelpful.

      The Space Force has been in the works, long before Trump came into office. Decades possibly.

      Can’t copyright two words. Copyrighted material has to be complete. You could trademark acombination of two words, but that would require prior registration of the phrase with the Patent & Trademark Office. They’d likely have said it’s insufficiently unique to be trademarked, given its similarity to “Air Force”, even before the US Space Force formed. Besides, government always gets dibs on names. After all, “Operation Warp Speed” didn’t violate any trademarks, given that phrase’s entry into common parlance (albeit originally part of the lexicon of the copyrighted Star Trek canon.)

      …I used to be a big IP nerd… had a friend who testified against the patentability of software, IIRC…

    Raidah is actually turning out to be a good character. At least she agrees with me that Joyce needs to do a lot of growing up. Her empathy is at negative values.
