    At least now we know how Joe spent his weekend waiting for Joyce to get back to him with her shallow promise of talking later. I don’t have a patreon sub at the moment so I can only hope Danny offers some well needed support towards his friend.

    Oof, Joyce did say she’d get back to him. She also said she’d talk to Dorothy about the dating both of them plan. This is going to get messy down the road

    Damn. Poor guy. Joyce just completely blanked on her incredibly thoughtful and considerate boyfriend.

      nah, at this point they’re broken up, Joe just tried a tactic to stop it. “Maybe” should be taken as a no because that’s usually all it is. People feel bad saying no to you so you get weird partial answers instead, Joe needs to just move forward.

        Joyce never said “maybe’> She also never said “yes” or know”. He said they don’t have to break up. And at the end she said “We’ll talk later, I promise”.

        That’s not a “no”. She owes him closure, one way or another.

        Joyce really didn’t break up with him though. Nobody really owes anyone closure, but Joyce wants Joe in her life. That doesn’t work if she just leaves him hanging. I agree the best thing would be to move on, but their friendship requires a conversation.
