To save people checking: Matthew 19:4-5 (from the New International Version, because it’s what came up when I searched) is:
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’
5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
Seems a bit of a non sequitur to me. None of the stuff done “for this reason” seems to have any logical connection to the reason stated. In fact, the Creator went through all that effort to make them separate, and now you’re sticking them back together?
That’s before we even get into the “become one flesh” phrasing, which sounds less romantic and more Human Centipede.
