I just looked up the definition of bygone, because I never knew in the sense if that phrase, and I don’t think a living person can be a bygone. Bygone means “belonging to an earlier age,” so by definition, it cannot include living people, as they belong here, in the current age. Of course, people frequently (and without awareness) use this as a rhetorical device to demean something they disagree with (I had a roommate say, “That’s so 20th century…” But it was about something taking place in the 21st century, so by definition, was not 20th century). I’m sick of rhetorical manipulation like this.
After looking into the phrase though, I don’t think “bygone” was actually meant to be about people. It’s about events. It’s saying “this event happened in the past, let’s let it go and be in the present.” But it has morphed to where people think of the word as being about people instead of events.
I think you are misunderstanding bygones as referring to people. As far as I can tell it is usually meant to refer to something a person has done in the past, therefore an event.
I would also argue that an earlier age may not necessarily refer to an early societal as as defined by historians, but simply an earlier point in time, when people (or group dynamics, etc) were in a different place in their life,sometimes physically, but usually emotionally.
I conclude that the phrase “let bygones be bygones” is a valid phrase referring to a event that happened in a person’s past. In this case, Amber stabbing Sal’s hand when they were much younger.
And that at this point in society you can just say bygones with the implication that you intend the whole phrase “let bygones be bygones”.

That fight in a bar? A stab and some broken bones. A car race? Many casualties? Dark Souls 3? Hours without resting and too much frustration. A Homestuck post defending Vriska? Been there, done that.

Part of today’s comic involves a wake for someone. I disagree with Sal. Every mistake you make will follow you. Those bottles of alcohol? A damaged liver and a car crash that lacked INTEGRITY. That orgy? Three STDs and a pregnancy. That fight in a bar? A stab and some broken bones. A car race? Many casualties? Dark Souls 3? Hours without resting and too much frustration. A Homestuck post defending Vriska? Been there, done that.
Enjoy your life, but be aware that your actions not only hurt you. You affect other people’s lives even when that isn’t your intention.

I still feel like the level of grudge against amber is uncalled for. At the very least, her reaction back then was, if not justified, at least understandable. Can Walky, at least to some level understand that seeing your own life and you’ friend’s life getting threatened can lead you to some stupid reaction?

“Cram” is such a great word. We already had an instance of it as a sound effect during Walky’s previous encounter with free pizza. It’d be entertaining indeed if Sal’s threat comes true and the sound of the sex act was the same as the pizza act.
Also, imagine strolling by this scene, uninvolved in the goings-on, and that’s the only part of the conversation that cuts thru the clutter. I would be laughing to myself all day.

Part of today’s comic involves a wake for someone. They have a memorial picture of the deceased, which looks a little like Mike…similar yellow hair color and stile,… similar shirt to what he was wearing last time we saw him, a sort of scowl. Coincidence or an inside joke? We do know the 2 artists have collaborated in the past so I assume they follow each other’s work.

My immediate question was more “referential humor or accidental spoiler?” But then it occurred to me, from what I’ve learned of Randy from reading his comic it’s probably just intentionally misleading – they’re “missing” Mike because he’s been gone from the comic for like a week.
To be fair though, S*P is in the Walkyverse, so it might be a different Mike.
Unless he got punted so hard he ended up in a different universe, and now they’ll never find the body…

The “good” news is that Something Positive has been shown to take place in the Shortpacked universe in the past. Characters there adopted some of choo-choo-bear’s kittens.
So either this is Shortpacked Mike’s funeral. Of there exists two Mikes, and Shortpacked Mike can wander into the DOA universe any second and really confused things.
