The problem with people like her is that she’s got so much (undeserved) self-confidence that she wouldn’t ever challenge her own first thoughts.

This is very compelling evidence. Is there an argument that she maybe never saw AG head on? Like maybe she only saw her from the back? Is that something? I don’t know how Jen justifies how Sal is a completely different race with a different skin tone from AG. I guess it’s good Jennifer doesn’t see color?
To give some additional context and an attempt of a slight excuse for Jennifer, she had been drinking before and during the party that Joyce was attacked at, and she woke up abruptly after drinking whisky and energy drinks the morning AG carried her to the elevator on her back.
That said, Joyce told her that AG was white and Walky told her AG was Amber, but she brushed them both off.
Just going to say that I have super-dense bones, which almost got me discharged from the army. They did let me survive getting hit with a truck 3 times, not all at once, three different times.

Not only has she seen her, she has ridden on her shoulders and then had a conversation with her.
Not only has she seen Amazi-Girl (as others have pointed out above me) but at one point Walky flat-out told her who Amazi-Girl really is.

To be entirely fair to Jennifer, I think “I’ve seen Amazi-Girl and she didn’t look like Sal” would be more compelling than “Sal’s brother says Amazi-Girl is someone else, and it’s not like a superhero’s loved ones would lie about something like that”. The combination, however, should be conclusive.

I know Jennifer hasn’t really seen Amazi-Girl close and in person as much as a lot of the cast, but it’s still really amusing how little Amazi-Girl and Sal share in terms of looks.
Come on, that’s not fair! They only have different heights, weights, builds, silhouettes, accents, hair colors, skin colors, hairstyles, scar tissue…

I am very dense, but I only just realized that Jennifer is sold on the preconception that AG needs to be “cool” in real life as well. And, by her standards, Sal is the only cool girl in this dorm. 2+2=?

And also I think people really discount that she *already decided* she knows who Amazi Girl is. ‘Already thinking you know the answer’ rows a lot of water irl with a lot of otherwise smart folks.
One of the previous strips they were intogether she was like making some ‘nerdy’ reference and she was liek “you could’ve just said i’d rather die” so i dont’ think sal would be ‘nerdy’ enough to know those specific references

My favorite part of Jennifer’s story is she’s met Amazi-girl, so she has to be under the impression that if Sal was Amazi-girl she’d be doing white face.
Is Willis really going to do this? I’m not the biggest Jennifer Billingsworth fan, but is Willis going to make her, THAT dumb? Sal and Amazi Girl don’t even have the same skin tone, let alone body shape, to confuse the two. Don’t drag her down like this; she’s not a good person, but she still deserved better than this.
