Don’t question the caramel!
His abs are literally made of caramel. It’s a mutation in how his body stores calories. Tragically, as he gets older, they will harden to a Sugar Daddy like consistency, causing stiffness and pain when moving, before he succumbs to hardening of the toffies.
He’s 18. He can eat whatever he wants and stay buff. We’ll see how he’s doing in about 15 years….
Try 5 years. A couple of buddies of mine who could eat anything they wanted and never gain weight in their teens had their metabolism grind to a halt in their early twenties. It was hilarious for those of us who were pudgy straight through.
I’ve been 15 for the past 18 years, and people have saying things like this to me for the past decade, they’re still wrong.
I don’t know why people think you need conflict to make a story awesome.
Well, they need to move the story along.

You don’t need conflict to make a story awesome, you need to for there to be a story period.
Not necessarily. I’ve enjoyed stories where the entire plot was basically ‘character walks from here to over here’.
I mean obviously some stories absolutely require it, but not every story.

Conflict in a storytelling sense doesn’t mean “two characters fight.” In storytelling, it means the thing that is motivating the characters to act.
For instance.
Conflict: I want McNuggets.
Resolution: I’ll go to McDonalds and buy McNuggets.

I will cheerfully admit to being ignorant of the requirements law schools have, but do pre-law students actually take law courses?
My freshman roomie, eons ago, was pre-law, but moved out of our room and in with a buddy whose roommate had ALSO done the musical chairs things, before the semester was more than a week old. So I’ve got my head cocked at this comic like the RCA dog.
I dunno, but I’m really enjoying the fact that her textbook is just called LAW.
The best information I can find suggests that “pre-law” isn’t typically a major in the typical sense but instead a track for those intending to go to law school with various focuses in the humanities and social sciences. What actual degree one leaves such a track with seems to be variable. Any such courses would not likely include actual course related studies on law itself for first year students, but could toward the end of the program if the focus is political science, sociology or possibly philosophy. A criminal justice or paralegal degree would likely contain actual legal studies earlier and could be seen as a viable prelaw undergraduate path that could open better career potentials during law school. All that is, of course, Earth Prime info, and the universe of DoA may diverge considerably.
Yes, I remember my university residence days. “I am in pre-law”, my new floormate tells me. “No you’re not” I say, “you are in arts”. And you over there in pre-med, it’s called science.
I’m a Criminal Justice major, and we take lots of classes pertaining to the law, also, Vlad is right that to my knowledge anyhow there is no such thing as a pre-law “major”.
Is it just me or does Dottie have mouse ears in this comic?
Not really any more so than normal. Willis is really good about not actually showing characters looking straight on most of the time, so it’s usually less noticeable that her ears are slightly atypical in size compared to most everyone else in this comic.
Is Walky’s choice of pants a sign of him being considerate?
