i wonder how long dorothy allow him to be like that around her before she tries to make him react to her talking to him, or just leaves to find someone who’ll talk to her
Good job, Joyce. No going crazy about Dorothy´s belief of god not existing at all. Bet most here thought the next holy crusade would happen but no, you proved them all wrong. Good girl, Jesus would give you a cookie for your effort. :3
And Walky……er, please realize this was not a compliment by her and take a chicken nugget for free.^^
Well, the hiccup fit wasn’t a planned thing. In thousands of other Universes, she could have inhaled like that and not gotten hiccups. This just happened to be the Universe she did get them. So, minus the hiccups, her reaction was fairly decent as opposed to some of the theories out there…
And I’m very glad that Joyce went the entire time without trying to browbeat Dorothy into becoming a Christian or something. Even if she was over dramatic about Atheism, at least she kept her opinion to herself for once.
…unless she’s still recovering from Blue Screen of Death mode. Some people need a little more time to process before they can react to something completely outside their experience. THEN they can make with the beating of brows.
Unrelated to this particular comic, but I realized via the large Joyce DoA ad I saw earlier that Joyce’s eyes and smile sorta remind me of Harley Quinn. Is it just me?
John Redcorn was pretty much the only contemporary Native representation I had in comedy growing up. Probably the funniest Native character in cartoon history and a lot of that was on Jonathan Joss' pitch perfect rezzy uncle performance. RIP to one of the best to ever do it.
today in #9chickweedlane i learned that, yes, lolly is so edda 2.0 that she's even wearing her mother's wedding dress as she gets married to Her Dad (But Taller)

the big disconnect that happens here is between the correct message for D politicians (especially in red states), which is “you’re right, this isn’t who you are, you’re better than that, vote differently next time”
and the actual truth, which is yes you did, fuck you
Raw milk has the opportunity to do the funniest thing

"ESPECIALLY willa!"
"dad, has it come to mind yet that if i was correct, actually, about belle being cuckoo for murderpuffs, that she was in fact trying to kill me, your human daughter, all this time"
"sorry, still only really care about the fish"

“She spoke to me!!1” ;o;
I feel like this is going to lead into a horrible turn song…
And, on some corner of the internet, I have found that one person who saw Horrible Turn and apparently appreciated it.
I saw it too….an amazing piece of work for a fanmade prequal.
There are people who didn’t like Horrible Turn?
A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
Don’t plan the plan if you can’t follow through.
All that matters
Taking matters
Into your own hands
“‘Strangest’ means I stand out! Yes!”
Don’t plan the plan if you can’t follow through.
ack! that was supposed to be a reply to the comment ABOVE yours…don’t mind me *hums nonchalantly*
D’awwwwwwww! Everyone, say it with me!
But you already said it.
Say it again. d’aww
That’s the kind of spirit we’re looking for!
D’AWWWWW!!
D’AWWWWWWWWWW
I was afraid his face would stick like that.
If he actually stuck around her for a good extended period, it might.
So I have to meet Dorothy to keep my tittle now
It’s sad a fictional character like Walky is having more luck talking to a woman in college than I ever did.
And yea, compared to me he’s having GOOD luck.
His luck is fantastic, it’s his ability to take advantage of it that’s horrible.
Talking with women have very little to do with talk and a lot more to do with listening. So he’s kind of doing it right by not saying anything stupid.
Jeez, have = has.
Commenting with proper English grammar is quite a bit more difficult right after Spanish class.
That Walky is one smooth operator!
XD
He’s a real player
And if you mess with him
You know you’ll never win
I still don’t know why song popped up in my head
That was the cutest face ever!
cutest love zombie ever goes to?
That’s so cute!
“See you Friday” is always better to hear than “I’m carrying mace”
Way to go Walky!
strange does not mean unattractive *wink, wink*
At least Joyce recovered enough to say bye coherently.
And in the race of “Who will recover and communicate like a human being first,”
…It’s JOYCE by a nose! WINNER!
To be fair, she was able to talk earlier.
“No… *hic*”
I wonder what Dorothy’s effective range is for doing that to Walky. There’s no way to tell how far away she had gotten before he reverted to “normal”.
This requires further experimentation!
Yeah, I really just wanted to say that…
It does!
I’d like to reserve “Dorothy’s Effective Range” as the name of my hipster band that I’m assembling…never.
That smile on Walky’s face is just precious.
i wonder how long dorothy allow him to be like that around her before she tries to make him react to her talking to him, or just leaves to find someone who’ll talk to her
But on the bright side: Thats a compliment!
…Right? D:
At least Walky’s “Nightmare” face is better than the awkward smirk that gets plastered on my face when I’m nervous.
Your avatar makes that comment hilarious.
He’s actually smiling because she quoted the 2007 Transformers film to him. :p
I don’t know if that’s true, but I’ll say it anyway:
Damn it, Willis.
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sam_Witwicky
First quote.
We don’t see much of Sarah in the comic, considering she’s in the header image and all.
That poor boy… I remember what trying to talk to girls was like back in college too…
I agree. It’s very annoying. I want more backstory out of her, now that we’ve gotten through the first few days of classes.
I had forgotten what his FFAACCCEEE really looked like
this story is fun, keep it up Mr. willis!
It’s sort of sad that a hiccup fit for Joyce passes as tolerant and reasonable behavior.
On the other hand, no sense being picky.
Well, the hiccup fit wasn’t a planned thing. In thousands of other Universes, she could have inhaled like that and not gotten hiccups. This just happened to be the Universe she did get them. So, minus the hiccups, her reaction was fairly decent as opposed to some of the theories out there…
If we’re going to persecute people for hiccups now I’m screwed…
I sure wish I could get *my* eyes to migrate toward the side of my face, like Walky. It seems like the ability would be occasionally useful.
It would be an effective defense against eye gouges.
I dunno…they also grew several sizes, so where they’re supposed to be, or not, they’re better targets. >_>
Only once I would like to see a comment about the difficulty of talking to boys.
Isn’t Dina’s mere existence such a comment? (Okay, she wasn’t exactly social at the all-girl’s floor meeting, but she wasn’t behind a door either.)
But it’s less funny this way.
Awww… Walky is happy.
Walky assumes that he and Dorothy are dating now.
Not dating, married.
C’mon Walky, use that southern charm.
hoping for a joyce-amber meeting… they’ve never met before, right?
Not in this universe no. But Amber was Mike’s +1 at the Walky Wedding.
Unrelated to this particular comic, but I realized via the large Joyce DoA ad I saw earlier that Joyce’s eyes and smile sorta remind me of Harley Quinn. Is it just me?
so, is this the universe where walky and dorothy are gonna be together?
Does anyone else but me sympathize with Walky?
I guess he decided to take it as a compliment.
w: “YAY I’m MEMORABLE!”
Glad he got over being this guy: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_qSOjg73BDeU/RwfCE91rMcI/AAAAAAAAAB8/6YYVq8CeZcE/s320/alienhominid.gif
