Ehhh, not really. The only place to get remotely decent food at my university is the pub downstairs, and a microwaved floppy-burger and fries costs $7, with no drink. There is a decent burger, though, but it costs $6.50 by itself.
I been to Flinders University (visitor, not student) and the central part is like a mall of sorts with things like ATMs that dispense $10 notes (normally ATMs have only $20 & $50 notes), Hair Salon, Pharmacy, supermarket, Post Office, food court, coffee shop and tavern (legal drinking age is 18 in Australia).
Hm at my university (living in Sweden) a lunch costs like 10USD or so and is of quite high quality… unlike their amazingly stale (deadly stale) 5USD sandwiches.
Good thing I usually have very few hours scheduled and mainly get to work and study at home hah
oops. I meant this to be a reply to the dog-related comment above! I wish this board was more User Friendly, and I hope you’ll accept my Whispered Apologies.
So sad, all the clever puns posted on an obscure web forum, so much Wasted Talent. Sorry, that was The Least I Could Do, don’t judge me too harshly, I am Fragile. I will just sit in the corner and eat my Octopus Pie, and await the verdict of the Fanboys at Gunnerkrigg Court. If you don’t like it, you can Bite Me. Oh no, too many puns in one post, I have triggered a Cascade Failure.
Who? You must mean some other character from some other comic who may or may not eat up a disproportionate amount of the comment space there with her hypothetical jerkish ways.
Thanks goodness no such person exists here in the DoAverse!
She shoulda dun shoulda known better. This comic has so much drama she shoulda just shoulda assumed that they were gonna to gunna have more drama they need resolved.
I was lucky in that not only were there multiple clubs I could go to (like Club Anime, Club D&D, and Club Baby Seals) but also most people in my ordinary classes were bigger nerds than me.
Your posts are So Far Apart from the thread above, but Just a Bit Off from each other. Good thing you’re not undead, or you’d feel like a real Awkward Zombie right about now.
Willis! You said you never drew mouths on the sides of your characters faces! How dare you lie to me!?
Ahem, I mean, I’m not complaining. Actually, this is the cutest that Danny’s looked. And it gives him an awkward smiling with one side of your mouth look.
Danny actually suffers from a terrible physical deformity. His mouth is larger on the left side of his face. you can see it in panel 4 as well. You insensitive jerk!
Tropes such as Cheeky Mouth, Faceless Masses, Only Six Faces and even No Feet are tricks that many artists use cos they are either short on time or lack the skill to do it properly.
Well, I can’t promise I’ll spend a say with you
I can’t promise that I’ll find a way with you
I can’t promise no I can’t promise that I’ll love you!–“Like To Get To Know You”, Spanky & Our Gang
Happiness is not for everyone, apparently.
Not for the genre savvy, anyway.
TRANSPARENT AS GLASS
Well. There’s that.
Is that burger white?
I bet it’s supposed to be an english muffin.
college food.
University food on the other hand, rocks.

At my school, I have to make my own food. Curse you culinary degree!
Hm at my university (living in Sweden) a lunch costs like 10USD or so and is of quite high quality… unlike their amazingly stale (deadly stale) 5USD sandwiches.
Good thing I usually have very few hours scheduled and mainly get to work and study at home hah
It’s a wonder then that the students manage to make it through with most of their teeth.
That is the whitest burgerbun I have ever seen.
its from that nw place up the street ya know…..albino burgers….
Hmm, that avatar looks like the young Alucard.
Correct, its Aldcard in the young female form he took up during the 2nd World War.
I meant Alucard.
I’m thinking it’s a light side of the force-burger from that Star Wars campaign.
(The dark side burgers looked horrible.)
Butt taco up high!
I DON’T WANT HIJINXS, DAMN IT!
But ’round these parts Hijinks Ensue…eh? Ehhhhhhhh?
That was so bad I spat out my Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.
Well, do you have dogs? At least they could get Something Positive out of your upchuck.
I don’t have a barf bag. You’ll have to use Mary Elizabeth’s Sock.
as long as they can avoid being hit by Girls With Slingshots.
This thread contains some Questionable Content.
At least there are no Complex Actions
Sarah probably thinks these people are all College Roomies From Hell!!!
it’s a veritable Sinfest of puns here.
Well, that’s the difference between webcomics and Real Life.
What, does real life not always devolve into errant stories like this?
To revive this line of discussion would be like raising the dead solely through the power of a social faux pas.
…an Awkward Zombie, if you will.
I feel like I’m sitting between failures right now.
Your post may have some Questionable Content to it…
Jinx
Now you guys have to play Rock, Paper, Cynic to see who gets to keep the joke.
Or we could leave it up to the Fans!
The loser may need to call a Dr McNinja to deal with the injuries.
Yes, he can watch while the heart monitor goes Blip!
McNinja? He’s good! I went to him I had my last Head Trip!
No, I got VGCats.*hides from the possible firestorm*
Questionable Content to VGCats? That was a Supernormal Step.
Will I invoke Godwin’s Law if I bring up Hipster Hitler?
unless the dogs have Gastrophobia
oops. I meant this to be a reply to the dog-related comment above! I wish this board was more User Friendly, and I hope you’ll accept my Whispered Apologies.
Ack. This joke is causing my computer to Zap! out and crash. I may have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Hmm, it seems I have Misfiled my comment in the wrong place. Looks like this comment system Does Not Play Well With Others.
We need to take this thread to the Atomic Laundromat.
Or you could call the Bad Boys of Computer Science.
Catch it at you local Multiplex!
Is that near the Penny Arcade?
That is, of course, right across the street from Dork Tower.
Does sprouting out all of these webcomic puns make us Sexy Losers?
I’m pretty sure This Is Normal, Plasma.
Didn’t think about it to deeply, just kind of did it for No Reason.
This thread’s giving me the Sordid City Blues.
Fellixe, that was my thought process when I stepped on that Bug
Ow, this thread’s making my Head Trip. I may have to take a Power Nap.

Pupkin.
But… but hijinks are such a key part of Sequential Art!
I’m enjoying reading this while drinking coffee with Two Lumps of sugar.
Seeing all these replies just makes me want to say Balls 2 That.
Drama! Get your drama, right here! Drama for sale!
Salt! Get your tasty salt! Go ahead and put it on stuff! Salt!
Sarah’s entire role in the comic is that she doesn’t want anything to do with the comic. Why isn’t she more popular again?
Too meta for us.
Not meta enough. We need to go deeper.
We can use inception on her?
I support Sarah-ception
More like, why is she so much more popular than Malaya?
Because Malaya is a character.
I mean Because Malaya is a DieForOurShip character.
I like the idea that merely being a character is enough to ensure superior popularity. (Sarah: “What am I, chopped liver? Eeh, who cares.”)
Actually, the implication here is that being a character is enough to ensure that we hate her…
Who? You must mean some other character from some other comic who may or may not eat up a disproportionate amount of the comment space there with her hypothetical jerkish ways.
Thanks goodness no such person exists here in the DoAverse!
Deign… Can you use it in a sentence?
I would not deign to do such a plebian thing on these incredibly classy comment boards.
Here, thou incestuous, murderous, damnèd Deign,
Drink off this potion. Is thy union here?
Follow my mother.
I had to do a double take.
Then I saw what you did there and laughed.
“Deign is a word in this sentence.”
Marmaduke is a great deign.
deign/dān/
Verb: Do something that one considers to be beneath one’s dignity.
I wouldn’t have…stooped to actually defining it for him, myself.
This thread was hilarious and informative!
Oh, Sarah. You shoulda dun shoulda known better.
She shoulda dun shoulda known better. This comic has so much drama she shoulda just shoulda assumed that they were gonna to gunna have more drama they need resolved.
I had this exact problem in high school.
GOD DAMMIT IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND SOMEWHERE WHERE WE CAN TALK ABOUT POKEMON OR SOME SHIT AND NOT WHO’S BANGING/PISSED OFF AT/IGNORING WHO
answer: Yes, at college, amusingly.
Answer: Go talk to Dina. There are some dinosaur-shaped pokemans.
Lucky you! I can’t find anyone I can talk to about anime or some shit.
My college used to host Anime Expo back in the day… they stopped doing that. Boooooo
I was lucky in that not only were there multiple clubs I could go to (like Club Anime, Club D&D, and Club Baby Seals) but also most people in my ordinary classes were bigger nerds than me.
They had an actual Club Baby Seals?
Yep.
They talked about how cute baby seals were and looked at photos of them.
I guessed wrong then, I was thinking that Baby Seal was the name of a nightclub.
Well, there’s always the internet. That way you can talk about who’s banging Pokemon.
You, androgynous internet commenter, win one Internet.
Now Sarah if you’re going to discriminate on the basis of awkward sitcom situations you’re going to be quite lonely.
Sarah was probably a lot happy with her universe before the comic started being about it.
Dammit Danny! I don’t want your drama!
Hee. Sarah’s so I adorable I want to give her a hug, but I don’t want her to punch me. What to do?
One day she’ll look back on this and be happy she decided to stay out of it.
Or one day, 100 strips from now, she will realize she’s been drawn into it anyway.
That one day will probably be tomorrow.
And it will probably be 100 strips from now.
And it will probably be tomorrow.
Unless someone ends up in a Menáge A 3.
Oops! That one got Misfiled.
Your posts are So Far Apart from the thread above, but Just a Bit Off from each other. Good thing you’re not undead, or you’d feel like a real Awkward Zombie right about now.
…God damnit, that sucked.
Sure did! Where’s the Emergency Exit?
I think you’re Overcompensating.
Dang, didn’t notice this AZ pun before I made mine.
WELP
Willis! You said you never drew mouths on the sides of your characters faces! How dare you lie to me!?
Ahem, I mean, I’m not complaining. Actually, this is the cutest that Danny’s looked. And it gives him an awkward smiling with one side of your mouth look.
I said I no longer draw mouths on the sides of my characters’ faces when in profile.
Example, second panel: http://itswalky.com/d/19970909.html
But Danny’s face in the first panel is in profile, yes? With both sides of his mouth visible?
He’s talking out the side of his mouth.
Because he’s too honest to talk out of both sides.
Danny actually suffers from a terrible physical deformity. His mouth is larger on the left side of his face. you can see it in panel 4 as well. You insensitive jerk!
… a style which the face-recognition parts of the human brain have no problem with until you actually point it out!
And after which, you can never watch anime again.
And…I typo. *cough*
sarah should know better by now
I know that feel Sarah, and then I realized the drama was worth it so I didn’t spend every night home alone.
Poor Grumble-Bum, teenage drama shows up EVERYWHERE.
Fun Fact: When two teenagers come into contact with one another an A.D. (Absolute Drama) Field is created.
The presence of VD is know to increase the effects of the AD field.
And VD-enhanced AD is impressive in 3D.
You can get a 3D MD to look into
you AD-enhancing VD if you just stop
sitting around in your BVDs listening to CDs.
I think I need a PhD to understand what you just said.
Someone learned a new word today, huh
Silly, Sarah. Don’t you realize you’re in a Willis comic?
Hey, sometimes there’s zany comedy. Sarah loves that *so* much better.
I know she wants to avoid drama and stuff, but at the same time, she’s gotta be feeling kinda bored a lot of the time.
She’s gonna be sitting alone for a loooooong time.
Sarah and Dorothy should be best friends . . . until Walky ruins it.
At least they were honest.
Sarah has a hard life.
Me thinks she doth protest too much.
You live in the wrong universe, Sarah.
The drama tag came pre-pulled in this one.
Sarah is the smartest DoA character ever. (Sorry, Dean).
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, Sarah, but you can never escape “dumb teenage drama” while on a college campus.
Sarah: Knows her Tropes.
I’ve rarely seen any dumb teenage drama in college or high school, though I’ve heard rumors of it on occasion.
love it
poor bag of shit
You really walked into that one, eh ?
They were about to change the subject too
When did Sarah and Danny meet, again?
