Backgrounds!

Indiana University denizens should recognize today’s strip’s setting as the northern sidewalk of Third Street.  Here’s an image of the first panel as I’m starting to put characters onto the background.

Man, Google Maps Street View is a lifesaver.

    wait, are you doing everything in photoshop? No freehand drawing or nuthin’?

    I’m impressed if so – i don’t think i’d dare do anything wthout a pencil sketch to scan first.

    I absolutely LOVE the IU backgrounds. They’re well-drawn and a joy to see.

    Found it on Google Maps Street View. Down to the grass square and the trees. It’s just west of Woodlawn Avenue. For some reason I can’t post a simple link. Seriously, dude, your memory of the uphill gradient is a wee tad exaggerated. Just be thankful you never went to Cornell or SUNY Bimghamton.
