Your current avatars (screw you, future readers!) make it seem like an actual conversation between Sierra and Dorothy. That makes my avatar a happy Walky. Threesome FTW!
I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice that he has poor technique.
You can’t kick off a shoe like you’re rearing to kick a soccer or football. The best shoe-kicks are more like half-kicks.
I am seeing a trend: less FACE, more caramel. Would it be that hard to program an engine to graph changes in memes in comment sections over time?
Complication: FAAAAAACE doesn’t have a set number of As, and the variations are harder to recognize.
In 8th grade, my math class was in a portable behind the school. It was spring, and when we finished the test our teacher let us go outside. My friends and I decided to have a shoe kicking contest.
We started going from the school down towards the creek, but then someone’s shoe almost landed in the creek.
So then we started at the bottom of the hill by the creek and kicked our shoes up towards the school. One kid kicked his shoe and it smacked against the door right as another teacher came out of the one next to it. Missed her face by about a foot.
We had to disperse, but after it was safe again, we lined up against the school gym and turned it into a height contest since it was pretty tall. I was wearing flip flops, and it started getting windy. I kicked my shoe up and it got blown onto the roof of the gym. I won that round.
Wound up having to wait until the end of the class before my teacher let me go to the office and tell them. They had a hard time understanding what happened, but thankfully the janitor was able to retrieve my shoe for me.
Shoe kicking! Brings back memories. Straight out kick, curl the foot, flip it, and release..shoe sails a mile if you do it right. And I have to agree with all who commented above, I think they are right, Dorothy’s going to hit Ruth smack in the head with it-or maybe the butt.
That second panel reminds me of Dungeons of Dredmor.
New Skill-tree.
Shoechery. Launch footwear with devastating accuracy! Boot and arrow! Sneaker-attack!
And when Dorothy throws a shoe, it’ll land on a moving truck.
But will she still be able to predict the weather?
I will now imagine Dotty with English dub Osaka’s voice.
Dorothy sounds like Twilight Sparkle
Approved. Headcannon.
I imagine most DoA characters voiced by a combination of MLP: FiM and Futurama
Walky’s Fry, but would Mike be Bender? Yeah, I like that idea! Bender’s voice would fit Mike fairly well.
Headcannon? FIRE!!
From now on we will call her Indiana.
You’re named after the DOG???
Just as long as her nickname’s not ‘Indy’.
Ow! That really hurt!
Honestly, who throws a shoe? You fight like a woman, man!
Nice Austin Powers reference.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.
*Highest of fives*
Goddamnit, why do I always get beaten to the Azumanga Daioh reference?
Saturation.
It’s too late! There they are, and there they’ll stay!
Dorothy is giving in to her childishness. That’s going to make naughty time weird.
Weird? it will be much more fun!
Perfect avatar moment. Here’s hoping I get walky
Your current avatars (screw you, future readers!) make it seem like an actual conversation between Sierra and Dorothy. That makes my avatar a happy Walky. Threesome FTW!
I don’t have a reply I just wanted to use my gravatar to make this thread into a four way.
We’re going to get a Dorothy clone?
Of course…
What’s a four way?
It’s a 3-way with either diced onions or red beans added.
if we add both can it be a 5 way? Dammit now I’m hungry.
Yep, that is the actual definition of a 5-way!
So it’s chili, spaghetti, diced onions, red beans, and cheese. That’s some kind of kink I’ve never even heard of, and my Gravitar is Joe right now.
It’s already made weird by the fact she started out talking to him like she’s his mom.
Not so above it all, huh, Dorothy?
She’s not so much above as she is trying to tread water on the surface of it.
I believe that is the first time I have seen Dorothy address Walky by his real name.
And she sounds just like a mother berating a child.
It does! And itt makes this ship even more abhorrent.
So this is football?
I think we’re missing a few items.
Namely, the ball.
And the keepers.
Walky could argue that he has too. Then again that game might not be very fun…at least not for him.
*two
sorry, it was bothering me
Amazigirl will show him.
You call that a shoe toss Walky? You disapoint me…
*Puts on a weighted shoe* THIS is a shoe toss.
*Puts on a Croc shoe* NO! THIS is a shoe toss!
Crocs have speed holes. They make the shoe go faster.
Weak results, but kudos to the kid for his form and face. Not so great for shoe tossing, but I had to smile and say, ‘Only Walky.’
Woo for Dotty trying to act like a reasonable adult, only to go “Really? That’s it? Psh. WATCH THIS!”
That’s how it begins. Next thing you know they’re kicking them across the lot and they beam a drunken Ruth with it.
Even better, a drunken Ruth catches the shoe…while she was drinking beer.
Even better, the shoe hit Ruth while she’s “bumping around” with Joe in the bush.
Even better, a drunken Ruth catches the shoe while “bumping around” with Joe in the bush and beams them in the head with it. Two(or three)-fer!
Bluh… *mind breaks*
His technique was all wrong. But he still gets a 5.9 from the Russian judge.
Getting 5.9 is like getting a D+.
I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice that he has poor technique.
You can’t kick off a shoe like you’re rearing to kick a soccer or football. The best shoe-kicks are more like half-kicks.
It’s all in the ankle…
Also he needs more of his foot in the shoe as opposed to having it dangle off his toes
Not to mention the untied laces cause way to much drag and cause to shoe to hit the floor way to soon.
You clearly haven’t seen the epic-ness that is a classmate of mine PLAYING soccer and kicking his shoe off further than he kicked the ball.
The scoring system only go up until 5…..
And those pants should have give him +1 DEX.
I just love how happy Sierra looks at the shoe-kicking. They’re gonna be pals!
Is Ruthless back to her room yet? My money says the shoe Dorothy flings is gonna whack Ruth somewhere unpleasant. Hilarity will ensue.
Yup, exactly what I’m thinking too.
Hmm…
I used to do that…..then the shoe hits the school tough guy in the balls.
10 points?
I didn’t know how did it happened but it hit the guy sole first, as if it was stomping the guy’s balls.
You kicked your shoe into a guy’s soul?
Dorothy knows if you’re gonna misbehave, you gotta do it right
I just wish I could thumbs up that comment so hard.
This will have to do.

here’s a big ol’ thumbs up for ya
Your fingers look strangely…lumpy…
You didn’t have to point it out! GAWD. He’s sensitive about it already you know!
I’m just concerned about his health and well-being!
Ahmahgawd. Do you have, like, a problem with lumps? That’s low.
I am even more reminded of those nights me and my roomates threw grapes off the balcony.
But did they have the GRAPES?
Well, it’s cooler than cowtipping, I guess.
And it’s official. Dorothy is the perfect girl.
I like your avatar. I got o’malleys autograph at nycc
Of course the shoe isn’t going to fly very far. It’s hard to get a good, clean release when it keeps sticking to the caramel.
But, the caramel is wearing socks.
it soaked through…for the sake of the joke.
Exactly! It gets pretty warm in a guy’s shoes.
I am seeing a trend: less FACE, more caramel. Would it be that hard to program an engine to graph changes in memes in comment sections over time?
Complication: FAAAAAACE doesn’t have a set number of As, and the variations are harder to recognize.
Oh that’s not a problem at all, you just have to use a regular expression, and check for FA[anynumber of As]CE
https://xkcd.com/208/
You asked for it.
Dorothy is such a extreme perfectionist even that she has to do better! XD
That was exactly what I thought.
MUST BE BEST, BEST AT ALL
It’s not the healthiest attitude, even if it is very productive.
That’s it, Dorothy is Amazi-Girl.
Dorothy aspires to be Batman.
Batman aspires to be Dorothy.
Think about it…..Dorothy’s got Walky in Pajama pants.
Batman hangs around Robin, who wears pajamas to fight crime.
Second panel needs to be a gravatar.
All those that agree say I.
Eye.
Aye.
Aiyiyi!
Oi.
L.
Eh!
Hey, I’m Canadian and that’s how we say it over here.
Yup
Walky makes the best faces. hands down.
you’re living proof of that, huh?
It is official: THEY ARE MEANT TO BE.
In 8th grade, my math class was in a portable behind the school. It was spring, and when we finished the test our teacher let us go outside. My friends and I decided to have a shoe kicking contest.
We started going from the school down towards the creek, but then someone’s shoe almost landed in the creek.

Wound up having to wait until the end of the class before my teacher let me go to the office and tell them. They had a hard time understanding what happened, but thankfully the janitor was able to retrieve my shoe for me.
You were lucky it was “time to clean the roof” day. Or, also known as “get all the phys. ed. balls off the damn roof to use” day.
Nah, they had him go specifically up there just for my shoe. I felt really bad.
Shoe kicking! Brings back memories. Straight out kick, curl the foot, flip it, and release..shoe sails a mile if you do it right. And I have to agree with all who commented above, I think they are right, Dorothy’s going to hit Ruth smack in the head with it-or maybe the butt.
That is if the same dorm? Now I’m confused.
Very intense. I can’t wait for the other shoe to fall.
That was terrible…
Have a cookie.
Aw man I had the same response *sits in a corner sulking*.
Give me the shoe. Then run.
“Anything you can do, I can do better!”
Sex too?
Maaaaaaybeeeeeeee!
“I can kick a sneaker, farther than a squeaker”
I can throw a slipper further than a flipper!
I can toss a loafer further than a gopher?
I can toss a croc further than a cock.
And that’s how the Collegial Shoe Kicking League got it’s start.
Anyone else notice that he kicked his right shoe, but that’s clearly a left shoe. ‘;)
It just bent funny on impact; it’s a right show again in panel five.
Or rather, behind panel four. Willis is messing with the first wall again!
“YES. THIS PLEASES SIERRA.”
Climbing up to Lucy levels of awesome, I see.
Now I have to wait for the other shoe to drop *insert groan here*
Wow… This David Walkerton charm may work out for the possible three way!!
Second panel.
Dat face.
I’m afraid to see what happens when the other shoe goes airborne.
……Dorothy just became WAY more awesome.
Seeing the sequence makes me flash-back to something similar in a certain school based anime series of shorts.
Shoe sails way up and away, goes long and hits a taker truck. Explosive hilarity ensues. I won’t expect less for tomorrow’s strip. ^_-
Wow, they’re made for each other.
so should i be proud that i have skill at this somehow?
This is going to end with Ruthless getting a face-full of shoe, isn’t it?
“That’s not how you kick a shoe…”
Her shoe is going to hit somebody in the faaaaace
That second panel reminds me of Dungeons of Dredmor.
New Skill-tree.
Shoechery. Launch footwear with devastating accuracy! Boot and arrow! Sneaker-attack!
Very nice play with the frames and the placement of the shoe, it connects the strip with the surrounding and still keeps it within context. I like it!
