Sorry, Opus; I think I’ve got prior claim to the title. I was two years past my teens before Carter even took office — although I did get a chance to vote for him.
So, just dropping a thought here: what if Sal is the Whiteboard DingDong Bandit, and did all this precisely to call for Amazi-Girl’s attention? Think on it: last time the two met, Amazi-Girl just suddenly decided to attack Sal in a duel. What if this is Sal’s way of accepting it and calling her into the fight?
I have a hard time imagining Sal caring enough about this to draw dongs on every whiteboard. Not her style! The best twist I can think of is probably Dina, who tries to imitate social interactions with very limited success, and who has the attention span and sneakiness to pull it off.
Daisy’s only wish is that Billie had interviewed Amazi-girl. Is there anything quite as hot as that mental image? Maybe a sun or something, but other than that!
If you look closely as Daisy’s chin, there is a white line of drool (hard to see since it is small and Daisy’s skin is light colored), which makes the scene all the funnier
Presuming a bit about Grace and Mandy. I don’t think we’ve actually seen enough of them to conclude that they’re actually a couple. Billie thought so, IIRC, but Billie projects so much she could open her own theater.
Back when they still gave tenure to teachers, I heard a stat that 1 in 9 male professors were married to former students. Even knew a couple who had done that (or some variation thereof).
So Leslie’s a possibility (although maybe not, though for other reasons…)
Surprisingly, being surrounded by eligible, potentially compatible sex partners does not immediately lead to getting laid constantly. Or to having a committed partner. Life is funny that way.
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer true
I’m half crazy over the love of you
It won’t be a stylish marriage
I can’t afford a carriage
But you’ll look sweet
Upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two
Ruby, Ruby, give me your answer true
Will you let me peddle along with you
When you and I go cruisin’
You’ll thank me for choosin’
You to come and have some fun
On a bicycle built for two
Billy, Billy, give me your answer true
I love riding, do you love it too
Slow or fast or faster
You lead, I’ll follow after
The path flies by as you and I
Ride a bicycle built for two
Those are really the actual lyrics to the refrain (well, verses 1, 3, and 4, anyway; verse 2 is Daisy’s reply to her suitor):
“Michael, Michael, Here is my answer true.
I’m not crazy all for the love of you.
If you can’t afford a carriage,
There won’t be any marriage.
‘Cause I’ll be damned
If I’ll be crammed
On a bicycle built for two.”
It’s just that most people only know the first one … sort of like no one really knows (or remembers, or cares) that there are four verses to The Star-Spangled Banner too.
I always heard it “Harry, Harry, here is my answer true / I’ll not marry all for the likes of you. / If you can’t afford a carriage / then there won’t be any marriage / cause I’ll get switched / if I get hitched / on a bicycle built for two.”
One of many many songs with depressing 2nd verses.
Only “Dumbing of Age” could go from mentioning a man being beaten within an inch of his life to an erotic dream in two panels. As Tracks would say, “Good show Willis, good show!” (I can never tell when Tracks is being sarcastic. It’s that Boston Lockjaw malware he contracted on Earth. Ratchet thought he had an antiviral program to cure it, but then the surge happened, and next thing you know Tracks actually likes talking like Thurston Howell III.)
NEW SHIP
What do you mean “new?”
Daisy’s new ship
HMS Damaisy-girl departing! TooT TOOOT!!
Damaisy-girl.. not sure if dorothy x amazi-girl or daisy x amazi-girl
Amazothy?
… which also the name of Azathoth’s smarter but less famous brother
WE CAN SHIP IT
YES WE CAN
If it fits it ships!
LIES
TRUTHS
SHIP IT, FELIX!
Oh, I do…
I’m with Daisy
I’m sure most of us are with Daisy
If Daisy wasn’t a lesbian She’d be my 2nd DOA wife.
Who’s your first?
Someone hasn’t read enough Yotomoe comments
I’ve been away on business for a while
No worries. All you gotta do is scroll down to see. I already mentioned her tonight.
“Sierra”? “Billie”? “all the DOA ladies”? Or is it…”a dude”?
‘s Sierra.
I was going to say “right there with you, Daisy” but it would appear that I have been ninjaed. Ah well.
… right there with you, Daisy.
Hi, I’m Daisy!
Surprised Daisy didn’t “edit in” a chest window.
That’s what the A is for
She saving that for when she gets home. She’s got SOME self control.
Amazi-Girl + Chest Window:

How about dis?
*plays R.E.M’s “Orange Crush” on the Muzak*
Daisy is a gift to us all.
i’m conflicted weather daisys dreams would be better than real life
fuck it, of course they would
I wonder if she has a dream journal, if so I got to get my hands on it.
Publish it. It’ll be a bestseller.
Please someone make fanart or a fanfic of this
Only for five easy payments of $19.95
Or you can pay him in smiles hahaha, OK seriously now what website do I haft to go to request future comissions ?
for me?
http://www.Yotomoe.tumblr.com
For Willis, it’s probably itswalky.tumblr.com
Plus interest?
Uuuuuuh ooook
whenever people expand “ok” like that i read it as “ook”, so your comment kinda sounded to me like a Farside caveman’s name.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooook
-The Librarian
Damn! You beat me to it XD
Damn you Willis! Get a like system on these comment sections already!
Ohhhhhh, Kaaaayyyyy?
“OK” is never a threat, no matter how many A’s you
put on the end.
It is when it means what I mean it to mean.
Can you see?
Can you see?
Oh, can you see?
What that woman,
She been doin’ to me?
My preferred rendering is, ‘Okaaay…’
Is this what they call a “sit-down” meeting?
And that’s how you drop Ms. Daisy.
Drop and break, now Dorothy has to buy Daisy. Pottery Barn rules and all.
Driving Miss Daisy crazy.
I am 100% in favor of Daisy re-interpreting peoples’ words as being sexual.
I’m pretty sure that’s what every teenage boy ever does already.
Also every commentator on this comic.
Those are synonyms.
Does that mean I get Dick Clark’s title of World’s Oldest Teenager now that he’s passed? Because I haven’t seen my teens since Carter was President.
Sometimes I forget how old people can be on the internet.
As old as you don’t want them to be.
Sorry, Opus; I think I’ve got prior claim to the title. I was two years past my teens before Carter even took office — although I did get a chance to vote for him.
Hell, I’m 52 and I still do that.
So, Danny/Joe/Daisy/Amazi-Girl?
Wait, might as well have Agatha and Other Rachel in there too.
That’s not a ship, it’s a flotilla.
That’s not a ship, it’s a space station. Wait…
That’s not a ship, it’s a God damn arms race!
Too big for a space station.
And of course I’d get a Sal avatar for this comment…
Irony, also thats unlikely if you remember last time she didn’t want anything to do with Amazi-girl why change her mind all of a sudden.
Uhm, that’s true… curiosity, maybe?
Actually, at the very end of the encounter, Sal had her ire up, and was about to fight her. Marcie called her off.
http://www.dumbingofage.com/2014/comic/book-4/03-up-all-night-to-get-vengeance/fightme/
In fact, Sal distinctly said ‘We’ll finish this some other time”, implying that it wasn’t over.
Batman has a Bat-Signal, Amazi-Girl has a whiteboard dingdong. Seems fair.
No- if Sal wanted to fight., she’d just go up to her and fight. Sal isn’t subtle.
I have a hard time imagining Sal caring enough about this to draw dongs on every whiteboard. Not her style! The best twist I can think of is probably Dina, who tries to imitate social interactions with very limited success, and who has the attention span and sneakiness to pull it off.
Good god, Lemon.
More like Lime, at least for now.
*looks in Urban Dictionary* Ohh. Well I learned something new today.
We don’t get anywhere near enough Daisy in this here webcomic.
Nor Sierra. They should totally make out to remedy this.
Next time on Slipshine
I wouldn’t say no to that. :d
She needed a girlfriend or a fuck buddy.
Or a vibrator. She should talk to Roz, I’m sure she could hook her up.
I would guess that Roz could find someone to hook up with her.
or Roz could just hook up with her and use a vibrator
Good news for Daisy, bad news for Robin’s political machine.
Daisy has been a naughty girl…
I think it would’ve been funnier if Amazi-Girl had a boob-window in Daisy’s daydream. Still pretty great, though!
why haven’t sweatervests become a tag yet~?
Daisy’s only wish is that Billie had interviewed Amazi-girl. Is there anything quite as hot as that mental image? Maybe a sun or something, but other than that!
Why stop there, why not imagine Billie interviewing her in a Bikini wile in a hot tub.
Journalism.
Are they wearing pants in Daisy’s daydream?
This is important.
They only exist so they can be removed.
New slipshine: “The Daisy-chain daydream gangbang”.
Featuring all the DOA ladies.
Then after that we make a dude version. Everyone gets it.
But that would imply Blaine and Faz being in there too.
If were to limit it to recurring freshmen, that would mean Danny, Walky, Ethan, Joe, Jacob, Mike.
I’m okay with this.
You just saved us from having to consume a great quanity of brain bleach.
LOL! and not even a Muttley Laugh this time, my allergies are much better.
Speak for yourself.
You like Blaine and Faz? I guess it takes all types.
If we were including ‘recurring characters’, then you might as well add in Galasso, Ron, Ryan, Jason, Tony, and the Dean.
You might as well add in all the dads at that point.
next on slipshine: “the daddy issue(s)”
Don’t stop now think of more !
No more Amazi-girl crushes?
*Sadly closes Amazi-girl shrine*
the danny gravatar strikes again |C
People crushing on Amazi-Girl has been an epidemic for a LONG time.
Just as long as the AGC(Amazi-Girl Crush) epidemic doesn’t crossover with the BD(Butts Disease) we might just survive this.
I dunno, A-G’s got a pretty good butt.
It’s too late for him
*GASP* Thought bubbles!
Naughty thought bubbles!
Coming soon on Slipshine: ‘Dorothy’s Interview With Amazi-Girl, According to Daisy’s Fevered Imagination’.
AKA Dorothy Does A Journalism, next on Slipshine.
Talk about Driving Miss Daisy…
You’ve been waiting for a chance to use that, haven’t you?
i’d suggest “drilling miss daisy” but that’s probably already the title of a porn parody of the original and i’m too terrified to verify this.
It’s the power of that ample boo-tay, that steatopygous caboose, that callipygian badonkadonk, that junk in her trunk…
…I’ll be in my bunk.
Damnit, me too. Thanks Dahranbama!
don’t you just love it when your boss has erotic fantasies in which you are involved.
Fortunately, if that’s ever occured, I’ve never been aware of it. Also, I’ll be scrubbing my mind out with bleach for the next little while. Thanks.
aaaiiiieeeeeeee
So that’s what’s driving Miss Daisy?
From “guy got beat up in parking tot” to girl/girl slash fiction in under two panels.
If you look closely as Daisy’s chin, there is a white line of drool (hard to see since it is small and Daisy’s skin is light colored), which makes the scene all the funnier
Nobody said anything yet about AG in the process of removing her cape in Daisy-vision? Y’all are getting lazy or unobservant.
I feel bad for not noticing this detail.
Looks like Daisy’s imagination is sticking to the plot.
Good God Willis, give that woman a partner, a ‘real’ one.
There is no such thing as too many people crushin’ on Amazi-Girl, Willis. NO SUCH THING.
Man, everything gets erotic fan fiction…even the news…
Rule 34: There will be porn of it. No exceptions.
Is Daisy going to be one of those people who thought they’d get a lot of action in college but end up getting none?
I really hope Daisy gets a girlfriend. I’m feeling for her right now hahaa
I know, how is she still single? There are literally bisexual/gay women almost everywhere in a Willis comic
(not that I mind)
Well, Leslie’s a teacher, Robin’s too old, Grace and Mandy are together, and Ruth and Billie are busy destroying each other.
Presuming a bit about Grace and Mandy. I don’t think we’ve actually seen enough of them to conclude that they’re actually a couple. Billie thought so, IIRC, but Billie projects so much she could open her own theater.
I dunno, this seemed vaguely suggestive.
They had a lovers spat Billie helped break up, admittedly off screen, a while back.
True, but she doesn’t seem picky
Desperation is not an attractive trait.
OMG Daisy’s a shipper XDXDXDXD
God damn it Daisy there’s an internet full of porn. Make use of it.
I still hear Daisy’s lines in J. Jonah Jameson’s voice…
I WANT PICTURES! PICTURES OF AMAZI-GIRL in various states of undress
Presumably you mean J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson voice, right?
“Keener! Where’s that erotic story about Amazi-Girl? That girl’s a menace! An erotic menace!”
It’s weird to me that he’s the voice of an air bender in Korra. Though, the character does have a temper that does show from time to time.
For a journalist, Dorothy really needs to choose her figures of speech more carefully…
Old journalistic aphorism: “Think with a dirty mind to avoid writing with one.”
Next up: Daisy opens a fanfic column of the news paper.
We don’t see Daisy much because she spends all her time writing comments here trying to ship Dorothy and AG.
Good thing this isn’t anime – Daisy’d have a river of blood flowing from her nose right now…
Heeeeyyyyyyyyyy
Does Daisy have a counterpart in the old continuity?
Yup, she was leader of a SEMME squad. There was a Manchurian Candidate thing involved.
Hey.
Hey.
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer true
I’m half crazy over the love of you
It won’t be a stylish marriage
I can’t afford a carriage
But you’ll look sweet
Upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two

I love riding, do you love it too
Slow or fast or faster
You lead, I’ll follow after
The path flies by as you and I
Ride a bicycle built for two
A bicycle built for two
That was pretty good.
Those are really the actual lyrics to the refrain (well, verses 1, 3, and 4, anyway; verse 2 is Daisy’s reply to her suitor):
“Michael, Michael, Here is my answer true.
I’m not crazy all for the love of you.

One of many many songs with depressing 2nd verses.
Daisy’s fantasies are a lot sketchier than Joyce’s.
I’m seeing a new Slipshine here: “Daisy Does Daydreams”
We’re getting ever closer to that Lois Lane/Clark Kent romance between Amber and Dorothy~
Hmmmm
I wonder if she ships J/7 or 7/Torres?
J/7/Torres/Kes all together in an interstellar bubble bath?
Daisy really does need a girlfriend. She should try dating Malaya.
Daisy x Dina~
@Charles Phipps. Not sure why that didn’t reply properly.
there is never enough to crush on amazi-girl
