Free Comic Book Day is coming Saturday, May 3, and Laughing Ogre Comics in Columbus, Ohio, is featuring some local cartoonists!  And guess what?  I’m local cartoonists!  So from noon to 2pm, you’ll find me at a table inside the store.  I’ll have some Dumbing of Age books, bookmarks, and probably some magnets!

Dumbing of Age Book 14 Kickstarter update: It’s time for one final SURPRISE magnet unveiling this year!  At the incredibly important and not at all random number of $46,354, we’re throwing down the gauntlet of BEATRICE!  She’s one of the few remaining members of Lucy’s dorm crew that’ve yet to get a magnet!  And she’s technically in this book!  unlike zaph, sorry zaph

Pledge at the BEATRICE MAGNET tier to get her tucked into your signed/doodled Book 14 along with the free DOROTHY magnet!  Or choose to get her and a handful of others at either the PICK THREE or PICK FIVE MAGNETS tiers!  Or go whole-hog with the COMPLETE MAGNET POWER tier and get every magnet unlocked in this campaign!

The Dumbing of Age Book 14 Kickstarter reached the next stretch goal of $45K on Good Friday, unlocking the PAJAMAS DINA MAGNET tier!  That’s right, Christ has fallen and DINA IS RISEN.  Take that, LORD!!!!

Pledge at the PAJAMAS DINA MAGNET tier to get a Dina magnet along with your book!  (And don’t forget you get a free DOROTHY magnet in there too!)  Or if you’re aiming for Dina plus two or four other magnets of your choosing, huzzah, there’s the PICK THREE or PICK FIVE MAGNETS tiers!  And if you want all of them unlocked during this campaign?  Well, there’s a few tiers that hand you COMPLETE MAGNET POWER!

Up next?  Jacob, I think, at $50K.  I don’t have a silhouette for him yet.  Still trying to decide which look to go for him: exercise wear?  casual wear?  It’s a quandry!!!  But there’s a surprise magnet reveal popping up soon who’s not Jacob!  They do have a silhouette.

The Dumbing of Age Book 14 Kickstarter has passed $40K, which means: Double magnet unlocking! The HALLOWEEN BILLIE and HALLOWEEN RUTH magnet tiers are now available! Or get both of them (plus the free DOROTHY magnet) by pledging to the HALLOWEEN BILLIE AND RUTH magnet tier! And, of course, if you went all-in on a COMPLETE MAGNET POWER tier, consider them added to your pile.
